Job summary

Bachelor’s degree required.
Valid NC Teaching certification or eligible for NC Teaching certification in assigned area.
Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures.
Create a culture of effectiveness by setting high standards and expectations for all students.
Plan and implement a program of study in the assigned content area that meets the needs of assigned students.
Instruct students individually and in groups using various teaching methods.
Prepare for classes assigned and show written evidence of preparation upon request.
Diagnose learning challenges and maintain records for IEPs and 504 Plans.
Provide an instructional program to meet needs of all students including ELLs and students with disabilities.
Maintain classroom environment that engages students and supports learning.
