Job summary

TrulyHired is seeking a 6-9 Social Studies Teacher to join our school team in North Carolina. The teacher will report to the principal and is responsible for delivering engaging social studies instruction, aligning with state standards and district expectations.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and possession or eligibility for North Carolina teacher licensure. The teacher will collaborate with students, families and staff to promote a positive and safe learning

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a position-related area.
• Must hold or be eligible to hold a North Carolina Teacher Licensure.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with students, parents and colleagues to establish high expectations and improve student learning.
• Designs instruction through lesson plans and diverse learning styles to engage all students.
• Develops and guides learning with clear goals, strategies and student recognition.
• Evaluates student performance using data to adjust instruction.
• Maintains documentation and reports in line with district and state requirements.
• Manages classroom structure, behavior expectations and a positive learning environment.
• Oversees assistants and volunteers to support classroom operations.
• Participates in meetings and professional development opportunities.
• Responds to emergencies and maintains safety protocols.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
