Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in position related area is required.
• Must Hold or be Eligible to hold a North Carolina Teacher Licensure.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with stakeholders for leadership and positive relationships while focusing on high expectations and continuous improvement for student learning.
• Designs instruction (e.g. lesson plans; individualized instruction; diverse learning styles/needs) to engage all students in learning objectives.
• Develops and guides learning with students toward continuous improvement aligned with state and district standards.
• Evaluates student and class performance by analyzing assessment data to adjust instruction.
• Implements current best practice instruction and resources to improve student learning in line with standards.
• Maintains documentation and reports including student data and certification records.
• Manages classroom structure and procedures to create a positive, safe learning environment.
• Models professional behavior and communication, respecting diversity and promoting interpersonal skills.
• Oversees assistant teachers and student workers to support classroom operations.
• Participates in meetings to share information and gather feedback.
• Responds to emergencies per safety protocols and directs to appropriate personnel.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
