Job summary

Anova Education is seeking a full-time moderate special education teacher for the Sharon Public Schools to work with students in a K-5 Learning Center model. The candidate will provide direct instruction based on IEP goals and collaborate with general education teachers.

The successful candidate must possess MA DESE Certification for Teaching Students with Moderate Disabilities PreK–8 and have experience with the IEP process.

Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to develop and implement IEP goals.

Qualifications

• Experience with the IEP team process and administration of evaluation tools.
• Ability to develop and implement IEP goals and accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Direct instruction with students based on IEP goals.
• Co-teach if/when appropriate.
• Act as case manager/liaison for students on caseload.
• Develop and implement IEP goals and accommodations.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and service providers.
• Facilitate and chair annual review team meetings.

Skills

Experience with Wilson Reading System or OG

Strong written and oral communication skills
