Job summary

LEARN Academy seeks a Special Education Teacher with Mild/Moderate and Moderate/Severe teaching certification to join a collaborative team. The role focuses on individualized instruction, IEP development, and supporting students with autism and diverse needs.

The position emphasizes evidence-based practices, family collaboration, and working with a multidisciplinary team to ensure student success in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in special education or a related field.
• Valid Arizona Special Education Credential (or enrolled in a program for certification).
• Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred, OR an intern student currently in a special education program.
• Autism-specific or related certificate preferred – will be accepted if paired with another teaching credential.
• Mild/Moderate and Moderate/Severe teaching certification

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement student IEPs.
• Design and provide specially-designed instruction (SDI).
• Administer instructional activities for positive learning climate.
• Identify and modify instructional resources for diverse learners.
• Collaborate with OTs, SLPs, BCBA s, clinicians, and admins.
