Job summary

LEARN Academy in California is seeking a Special Education Teacher with Mild/Moderate and Moderate/Severe teaching certification to join our collaborative team. You will develop and implement IEPs, design SDI, and help students access individualized instruction.

You’ll work with families, general education teachers, OTs, SLPs, and behavior specialists to monitor progress and adapt instruction. A strong commitment to evidence-based practices and inclusive education is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in special education or a related field.
• Arizona Special Education Credential (or enrolled in certification program).
• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred; or intern student in a special education program.
• Autism-specific or related certificate preferred with another credential.
• Mild/Moderate and Moderate/Severe teaching certification.
• Ability to perform varied postures and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement student IEPs and SDI.
• Administer instructional activities in a positive learning climate.
• Identify, select, and modify instructional resources.
• Assist in assessing changing curricular needs and propose improvements.
• Collaborate with OTs, SLPs, BCBAs, and Administrators.
