Job summary

Sharon Public Schools' Sharon High School is seeking a Special Education Teacher for the 2025-2026 academic year in a grades 9-12 RISE program. The position supports a full inclusion model for students with ASD and related needs.

The successful candidate will hold DESE Licensure in Moderate Special Needs (5-12), have strong language skills, and work collaboratively with a team. ESY opportunities may be available.

Qualifications

• Must hold DESE licensure in Moderate Special Needs (grades 5-12).
• Experience with ASD and high school curriculum preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct instruction aligned to IEP goals.
• Consultation with general education teachers and parents.
• Provide modifications and accommodations for RISE students.
• IEP case development and progress reporting.
• Evaluations and written reports of findings.
• Oversee instructional assistants supporting the RISE program.
