Evanston/Skokie School District 65 is seeking a K-5th Grade Educator for Individualized Education Services (IES) for the 2026-2027 school year at Foster Elementary School. Position involves serving students with various identified disabilities, managing IEP progress, and collaborating with a team of educators.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and an Illinois teaching license; bilingual proficiency is a plus and qualifies for a $5,000 bilingual bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Illinois Professional Educator License or License with Stipulations.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with students with emotional, behavioral, and academic needs preferred.
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP).
• Knowledgeable about IDEA and related laws.

Responsibilities

• Administers developmental testing programs and/or subject specific assessments to inform IEPs.
• Advises parents/guardians on student progress and goals.
• Advocates for student needs and ensures timely IEP components are implemented.
• Assesses student progress and provides feedback to students, parents, and administration.
• Collaborates with parents, administrators, related services providers, and other professionals to develop IEPs and BIPs.
