Job summary

Alpha reimagines the school day around faster learning and stronger mentorship. This full-time, on-site role guides K-3 students through app-based learning, targeted reading sessions, and campus routines, with morning launches and life-skills workshops.

You will diagnose gaps, design short sequences, and ensure weekly progress, staying with students through lunch and end-of-day interventions. On-campus relocation support is available.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years direct work with children ages 4-9 in teaching, coaching, tutoring, camps, youth programs, or similar.
• At least 2 years of that experience teaching reading in grades K-3, within the last 5 years.
• Completed structured-literacy training or a master's in reading/literacy; or teacher certification not required.

Responsibilities

• Get every K-3 student to daily learning goals and close reading gaps.
• Coaching students through app-based core learning and targeted literacy sessions.
• Lead mornings, workshops, and check-chart activities; drive weekly app goals with gamification.
• Stay with students through lunch, recess, and closing with a plan for difficult cases.
• Diagnose gaps, design sequences, and monitor transfer to independent reading.

Skills

Structured-literacy training (LETRS/IMSE/OG, Wilson, Fundations, UFLI, etc.) or master's in reading
