Job summary

Ampact's Math Corps is seeking a part-time/full-time Math Tutor to work with students at local schools. You will lead tutoring sessions, track progress, and participate in growth through coaching and training. The role offers AmeriCorps stipend support and potential education awards.

We provide training and a supportive on-site coach, with daytime hours Monday to Friday during the 2026-27 school year. Applicants must be 18+, have a high school diploma, and pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email and navigating online).
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• 18 years of age or older with a highschool diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
