Job summary

Ampact's Math Corps program is seeking a dedicated Math Tutor to support students in the classroom. AmeriCorps members tutor groups of up to 3 students for 20-30 minutes, with coaching and training provided to ensure effective instruction and progress tracking.

Positions run for the 2026-27 year; full-time AmeriCorps members receive a biweekly paycheck and benefits, including child care assistance and education benefits. Join a nationwide tutoring effort supported by Ampact.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve with feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email and navigating online).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into data software.
• Commit to personal growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
