Job summary

Math Corps is seeking a Math Tutor to work with groups of students in local schools, delivering 20–30 minute tutoring sessions and helping students build math skills. You’ll be trained and supported as you coach students and return them to their classrooms.

AmeriCorps members earn a paycheck-like stipend of $17.50 per hour, with full-time hours (35/week) during the school year and part-time options. Benefits include health insurance, childcare assistance, and education loan benefits.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• High school diploma or equivalent; 18+ years of age.
• Able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's onsite coach.
• Enter student scores into data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
