Job summary

Matchbook Learning in Indianapolis seeks a K–3 Instructional Coach who can observe, model, and guide teachers toward stronger early literacy and math instruction. You will deliver clear, growth‑oriented feedback and work closely with a collaborative coaching team to accelerate student learning.

You will lead data meetings, use screening data to guide intervention, and build professional capacity through targeted coaching cycles and PD sessions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
• Valid Indiana teaching license.
• Indiana Reading Endorsement — required.
• Minimum 3 years of successful K–3 classroom teaching.
• Ability to coach, mentor, or lead adult learners.
• Deep knowledge of Indiana K–3 reading milestones and IREAD‑3.
• Data analysis skills to interpret reports and plan next steps.
• High level of professionalism, punctuality, and reliability.
• Strong communication skills — clear, direct, warm, solution-focused.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular, structured classroom observations with coaching look-fors aligned to Tier 1 expectations.
• Deliver actionable feedback to K–3 teachers after observations.
• Model lessons and co-teach to demonstrate best practices in early literacy and math.
• Lead data meetings using assessment results to drive instruction and identify gaps.
• Track teacher growth and student outcomes to adjust coaching priorities.
• Communicate urgency around Indiana K–3 reading milestones and IREAD‑3 expectations.
• Administer and interpret Core Phonics Screener and Acadience Reading data.
• Collaborate with coaching leadership on school-wide instructional priorities.
• Facilitate professional development sessions and coaching cycles.
• Maintain coaching logs and data tracking for accountability and reflection.
• Support summer planning tasks and be responsive during summer months.
