Job summary

Alpha reimagines the school day around faster learning and stronger mentorship, with campuses nationwide. You will coach K‑3 students through app-based learning, identifying gaps and delivering short, specialized sequences to close them.

As part of a full-time, on-site role, you’ll lead daily routines, track progress through weekly data, and contribute to a culture focused on student growth and real-world skills.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years working directly with children ages 4-9.
• At least 2 years of that experience teaching reading in grades K-3.
• Completed structured-literacy training or a master’s in reading or literacy.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
• Comfortable guiding students through app-based learning for ~90% of the day.
• Willing to work with all K-3 students, not only struggling readers.

Responsibilities

• Coaching students through app‑based core learning, spotting gaps and unblocking progress.
• Running short structured-literacy sessions for 2–4 students with targeted sequences.
• Leading morning launch, life-skills workshops, and check-chart activities.
• Driving students to weekly app goals with school currency and gamification.
• Staying with students through lunch, recess, and closing with a plan for frustrated children.
