Job summary

Alpha is hiring a full-time on-site Academic Coach to guide K-3 students through app-based literacy learning, diagnose gaps, and deliver short, structured sessions. You will lead morning launches, life-skills workshops, and closing routines, staying with students across the day to ensure progress against daily goals.

You have 3+ years with children ages 4-9, 2+ years coaching reading in K-3, and structured literacy training or a master’s in reading.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years working directly with children ages 4-9
• At least 2 years coaching reading in grades K-3 within the last 5 years
• Completed structured-literacy training or a master’s in reading or literacy
• Bachelor's degree required; teaching certificate not required
• Approximately 90% of day spent guiding students through app-based learning and campus routines
• Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Coaching students through app-based core learning, identifying gaps, and guiding progress
• Running short structured-literacy sessions with small groups, diagnosing gaps and teaching a designed sequence
• Leading morning launch, life-skills workshops, and check-chart activities for six-year-olds
• Driving students to weekly app goals using school currency, leaderboards, and gamification
• Staying with students through lunch, recess, and closing, addressing frustration with a plan

Education

Bachelor's degree in any subject
