Job summary

Alpha is seeking a Reading Coach to lead structured-literacy workshops for K-2 students at one on-site campus. You will design lessons from live data, facilitate focused 20-minute sessions, and leverage AI-adaptive platforms to personalize instruction.

A Master’s in reading instruction or structured-literacy cert is required, plus 2+ years of K-2 experience. Compensation is $100,000 USD per year, paid weekly, with benefits starting day one.

Qualifications

• Structured-literacy certification (Orton-Gillingham, LETRS, Wilson Reading System, IMSE, CERI, Neuhaus, UFLI, or equivalent) OR a Master’s in reading instruction.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years of full-time K-2 structured reading instruction within past 5 years.
• Ability to design reading lessons independently from data.
• Ability to assess reading growth and describe student progress.

Responsibilities

• Create and facilitate small-group K-2 reading workshops rooted in structured-literacy frameworks, informed by live data.
• Lead daily motivation sessions to meet weekly adaptive-app targets.
• Conduct and evaluate running records, fluency assessments, and decoding diagnostics.
• Analyze AI-generated performance insights to differentiate instruction.
• Be an approachable, enthusiastic adult for K-2 students.
