RADFORD CITY PUBLIC SCHOOLS is seeking an entry-level Technology Support Specialist I to provide support for district-issued devices, primarily laptops and Chromebooks. You will assist with deployment, repair, maintenance, and lifecycle management, while maintaining accurate asset records and documentation.

The role involves basic troubleshooting, device setup, and escalating complex issues to senior IT staff as needed.

Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent education and experience.
Valid Virginia Driver's License and ability to travel between sites.
Ability to pass required background checks and maintain confidentiality.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Basic troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities for computing devices.

Responsibilities

Repair and maintain district-issued laptops, Chromebooks, and peripherals.
Prepare and configure devices for deployment to staff and students.
Maintain accurate inventory records and track asset usage.
Respond to help desk requests for device issues and basic tech problems.
Collaborate with IT staff to escalate complex software, network, or infra issues.
Follow procedures and documentation for repair work and asset management.
