Job summary

Pea Ridge School District is seeking a Technology Specialist to ensure technology applications function across all school campuses. The role reports to the Director of Technology and supports both instructional and administrative technology.

The position requires programming and diagnostic skills, plus the ability to train educators and support staff in software/hardware use. It is a full-time, on-site role with ongoing consulting responsibilities across the district.

Qualifications

• K-12 education background and technology experience required.
• Strong programming and diagnostic skills expected.
• Ability to maintain security and implement district-wide technology utilization.

Responsibilities

• Ensure technology is functioning at all school campuses.
• Backup to Network Administrator for admin center and campuses.
• Backup to Network Administrator for media presentations to the public.
• Install software applications and upgrade as needed.
• Consult with district admins and teachers on curriculum and tech integration.
• Consult with Technology Director and Superintendent on emerging tech.
• Assist users with ordering, service and support issues.
• Provide support to library media staff on errors and configurations.
• Assess failed equipment and advise on repair or replacement.
• Assess intermittent equipment failures and contribute to fixes.
• Install/repair/replace staff and student workstations.
• Install/repair/replace AV equipment.
• Assist end users with connections and usage of tech tools.
• Provide scheduled site visits to coach teachers in tech usage.
• Other duties as assigned
