Job summary

Portland Public Schools is seeking a Talent Acquisition Associate II to support high-volume, full-cycle recruiting for frontline roles and central offices in Portland. You will partner with district teams, coordinate key hiring steps, and build candidate pipelines aligned with equity initiatives.

You will serve as a recruiting professional handling routine to complex duties with minimal supervision, covering school-based ops and central office openings. Evening and weekend events may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, public administration, psychology, sociology, law, or related field.
• 2+ years full life-cycle recruitment in high-volume settings; 1 year as Talent Acquisition Associate I acceptable.
• Experience in K-12 public education is desirable.
• May require use of a personal vehicle and valid driver's license.
• Evening/weekend job fairs and travel may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR expertise on talent acquisition to district staff and managers.
• Coordinate interview scheduling, eligibility checks, and offer processes.
• Manage onboarding with Workforce Management and HR teams.
• Develop recruitment strategies for multiple employment types.
• Represent PPS at job fairs, colleges, and community events.
