Job summary

Portland Public Schools seeks an experienced HR professional to support district talent management through full-cycle workforce management, staffing, and onboarding aligned with racial equity initiatives. You will advise on workforce actions, lead onboarding, and ensure compliance.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in HR or related field and 2+ years of full life-cycle staffing in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, public administration, psychology, sociology, law, or related field.
• Two years of full life-cycle workforce management and staffing experience in a high-volume environment.
• Experience in K-12 public school districts or public agencies is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical HR expertise to district and site administrators, managers, and staff on workforce management and staffing topics.
• Interpret and explain rules, regulations, policies, procedures, contracts, and fringe benefits.
• Lead onboarding for new employees and conduct onboarding sessions for new hires with required forms.
