Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. in Illinois seeks a School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to support evaluation, treatment, and progress monitoring for students with communication disorders.

Under supervision, you will help deliver speech-language therapy, document progress, and assist with therapy materials and scheduling. You will collaborate with the supervising SLP, teachers, and families to implement evidence-based strategies in inclusive settings.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field.
• Completion of an approved SLPA training program preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification may be required.
• Experience with children in educational or therapeutic settings preferred.
• Experience in speech-language therapy or related services a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering direct speech and language therapy to students.
• Implement treatment plans and monitor progress.
• Provide one-on-one support during therapy sessions.
• Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and progress.
• Coordinate scheduling of therapy sessions and manage student records.
• Collaborate with SLP, teachers, and related service providers.
