Job summary

The School Association for Special Education in DuPage County seeks a Speech Language Pathology Assistant to provide speech-language services to students with disabilities across multiple DuPage County locations. The SLPA will work under the supervision of the Program Administrator and contribute to planning, implementing, and documenting therapy and MTSS-based interventions.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree pathway in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Sciences and Disorders (or equivalent).
• Licensure/Certification: IDFPR or equivalent SLP Assistant certification.
• At least 1,000 hours of supervised clinical experience.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle to travel between locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language services to students in classroom settings.
• Collaborate with the educational team to support IEP goals.
• Plan and prepare therapy programs addressing local speech-language goals.
• Maintain records and reports for the program.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy and MTSS interventions where appropriate.
• Communicate with parents, teachers, and other school personnel.
