Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking an assistant teacher to support students with intensive behavioral needs in in-district classrooms and standalone schools.

You will work closely with a student under an IEP, providing accommodations, behavior support, and progress tracking within a multidisciplinary team. The role requires a high school diploma and experience with behavioral interventions; SESI offers paid training, benefits, and a supportive professional development

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Experience in educational settings implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive behavioral needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work one on one with an assigned student to meet goals in their IEP, providing accommodations and modifications as necessary.
• Assist in development and modification of behavior support plans.
• Implement behavior support plans; record and track data on behaviors, progress toward goals, and incidents.
• Utilize behavior support and intervention strategies.
• Provide personal care support depending on the student’s needs.
• Communicate effectively with parents.
