Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a Behavior Support Specialist to work with students who have intensive behavioral needs in in-district classrooms and standalone schools.

You will provide customized support and monitor progress within SESI’s multidisciplinary teams. You will collaborate with teachers and leaders, implement individualized behavior plans, and use PBIS strategies within SESI’s CASE framework while maintaining safety and fostering an inclusive environment for

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience implementing behavioral interventions in an educational setting.
• Emotional consistency and resilience to handle stressful situations.
• Flexibility and willingness to jump in to support safety and well‑being.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varied backgrounds.
• Provide monitoring and support across the school site.
• Assist in creating and implementing behavior support plans.
• Record incidents and track progress toward goals.
• Utilize PBIS strategies and school incentive programs.
• Apply de-escalation techniques, crisis management, and safety measures.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment for social/behavioral growth.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for differentiated support.
• Debrief with staff after challenging behavior or crises.
• Communicate effectively with parents.
