Job summary

Kansas City Public Schools is seeking an in-person Human Resources Specialist to oversee onboarding, maintain employee files, and ensure staffing compliance at the Board of Education location in Kansas City, Missouri. The role reports to the Director of HR Operations and supports end-to-end pre-employment processes.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in HR, a related degree, and experience with ERP LINQ, PowerSchool, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of experience in Human Resources.
• Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
• Experience with ERP LINQ, PowerSchool and MS Office is desired.

Responsibilities

• Oversee onboarding of new hires and manage pre-employment requirements.
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure policy compliance.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support staffing needs.
• Manage and process employee data with attention to accuracy and timeliness.
• Support onboarding programs and ensure a smooth integration into district culture.
