Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Specialist to develop and review K-12 assessment content and items, leveraging AI tools to ensure high quality and accessibility. You will collaborate with education departments and educators to align with standards, and help manage writers and consultants to deliver robust assessment content.

The role emphasizes strong communication, planning, and adaptability, with duties spanning item development, customer interactions, and integration of AI assets into workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent experience.
• 5 years’ elementary or secondary teaching experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of content development and educational trends.
• Some experience with large-scale educational measurement is preferred.
• Experience or familiarity with prompting, refining, and evaluating AI-generated content for education.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review content-specific test items across grade levels and formats.
• Help develop item specifications, test blueprints, and ancillary documents.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to support content development and accessibility standards.
• Collaborate with team to integrate AI-generated assets in assessment workflows.
• Select, train, and manage item/passage writers and educators as needed.
• Support customer meetings with content assessment expertise.
• Contribute to test construction and review of test forms.
