Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Specialist in Content Development to build and review K-12 assessment content for US state and district clients. You will work with educators, content experts, and partners to develop standards-based assessments and leverage AI to enhance outputs.

The role requires a degree in education and teaching experience, with a focus on content development and accessibility. You will collaborate with psychometricians and Pearson teams while staying current with AI tools and education

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent experience.
Five years’ teaching experience in elementary or secondary education preferred.
Strong knowledge of content area and educational trends.
Experience with large-scale assessments and AI-assisted content development.

Responsibilities

Develop and review content-specific test items across grade levels for large-scale assessments.
Help develop item, passage, and test specifications, test blueprints, and other documents.
Leverage AI-powered tools to support content development and ensure accessibility standards.
Collaborate with team to integrate AI-generated assets in assessment workflows.
Help select, assign, manage, and train item/passage writers to develop items based on standards and cognitive complexity.
Facilitate and support customer meetings and provide content assessment expertise.
Stay current with emerging technologies relevant to educational content creation and assessment, including AI.
