Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Specialist to join the Content Development team. You will work as a content and assessment expert to develop K-12 assessments for U.S. state and district clients, collaborating with educators, departments, and partners to ensure accessible, standards-based content.

The role involves item development, AI-augmented workflows, and coordination with writers, educators, and psychometricians. A strong background in education and AI-enabled content creation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, content-specific area, or equivalent experience is required.
• Five years’ experience as an elementary or secondary teacher in the field of content-specific area preferred.
• Demonstrated excellence in AI-supported content development or strong potential to leverage AI in content creation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review content-specific test items across grade levels for large-scale assessments.
• Assist in creating item/passage specifications, test blueprints, and ancillary docs.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to support content development and ensure accessibility standards.
