Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Specialist in Content Development to create and review tests for K-12 assessments. You will work with educators, committees, and partners to ensure standards-based content.

The role emphasizes AI-enabled content creation and accessibility, with collaboration across psychometrics and test development teams. Responsibilities include item design, specifications, and leveraging AI tools to improve assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, content-specific area, or equivalent experience required.
• Five years’ experience as an elementary or secondary teacher preferred.
• Demonstrated excellence in AI-supported content development or readiness to leverage AI.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review test items across grade levels for large-scale assessments.
• Help develop item/passage/test specifications and blueprints.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to support content accuracy and accessibility.
• Collaborate with team to integrate AI assets in assessment workflows and provide feedback.
• Select, train, and manage item/writer teams based on standards and best practices.
• Support customer meetings and test construction activities.
