Job summary

The Dublin City School District is seeking a Computer Technician to maintain and optimize our technology infrastructure, device ecosystems, and asset inventory within a learning environment.

The role focuses on proactive, customer‑facing technical support, ensuring secure access to digital tools for staff and students, while collaborating with educators and administrators to safeguard data privacy and reliability.

Qualifications

  • The candidate has an Associate degree or equivalent plus hands-on IT experience.
  • 35 years of experience in IT support, network administration, or systems maintenance; K-12 or higher ed experience preferred.
  • Experience managing end-to-end IT support, hardware deployments, software installations, and upgrades.
  • Ability to diagnose complex hardware, software, and network issues with first-time resolutions.
  • Experience with Google Workspace for Education, Microsoft 365, 1:1 devices, and MDM tools.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in all phases of technology equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Support district network infrastructure including VoIP, AV systems, and data networks.
  • Collaborate with educators and staff to provide reliable access to district data systems and cloud resources.
  • Maintain inventory records and use asset management software for lifecycle tracking.
  • Uphold cybersecurity standards and comply with FERPA/COPPA to protect student data.
