Job summary

Cengage, a global education technology company, is seeking a sales professional to drive growth in Colorado. You will engage in calls with prospective customers, present product solutions, and pursue annual sales goals while building strategic territory plans and reporting activities.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree, 2+ years in teaching and education sales, excellent communication, and proven territory management skills, with CRM and MS Office proficiency to support field activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree; minimum of 2 years of teaching, and education sales preferably in the publishing industry.
• Proven record of consistent sales growth and goal achievement performance.
• Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills.
• Ability to build and execute complex sales solutions.
• Ability to establish, cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with current and prospective customers, internal partners and management.
• Documented territory management and organizational skills.
• Strong competency in the use of business technologies, multiple applications, CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite; ability to transport materials to customer locations; lift 50 lbs unaided.

Responsibilities

• Engage in sales call activities to prospective customers to explore and present product solutions for our digital and print products.
• Meet or exceed annual sales goals.
• Create and implement strategic territory and business plans.
• Drive new business to foster growth within the territory.
• Provide accurate forecast and sales activity reporting using company sales tools and historical data.
• Participate in network building opportunities within territory, including conferences, group presentations, and industry functions.
