Chartwells K-12 is seeking a Sr Director of Dining Services for Davison Community Schools, MI. This role leads a large dining operation, builds relationships with the district and community, and drives profitability and compliance across USDA guidelines.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of management in foodservice or hospitality, with strong leadership, financial acumen, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Comprehensive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and minimum of three years of management experience in foodservice, hospitality management, nutrition and/or culinary management.
• Proven track record leading a business and a team with strong customer service and financial acumen.
• Strong initiative, critical thinking, ownership, communications, multitasking, prioritization and organization skills.
• Champions inclusion mindset, proactive, positive, professional and resilient.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and POS software.

Responsibilities

• Leads, manages, and inspires a diverse team at a large account or multiple accounts, with the goal of providing top-notch service to the client, students, and community.
• Drives and develops self and team towards building strong relationships with client(s) and achievement of KPIs.
• May serve on district leadership team and participate in ongoing conversations to share best practices and mitigate risks.
• Ensures risk/reward considerations and long-term implications are weighed with input from the team and partners.
• Fosters a culture of transparency, education, safety, and accountability.
• Represents the Chartwells team within the district(s) and community; attends client and community events.
• Ensures client needs are met, retains accounts, and assists in rebid processes as directed.
• Supports functional areas including safety, marketing, nutrition, and culinary.
• Ensures adherence to policies; conducts unit audits for key areas (food storage, sanitation).
• Maintains USDA compliance and completes required reporting on time.
• Champions development within accounts and plans succession; oversees performance evaluations.
• Overs sees financial results, reporting, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
• Ensures fair administration of all policies and procedures.
