Job summary

Chartwells K-12 at Sparta Area Schools, MI, is seeking an Assistant Director of Dining Services I to oversee day-to-day food service operations at a medium to large campus, lead a team, and support profitability and financial goals. You will collaborate with the Chef and management, implement new culinary programs, maintain client relationships, and train associates.

Relevant leadership and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of food service management experience.
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Financial experience and business acumen skills.
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the day-to-day food service operations of a medium to large volume location.
• Manage, lead and develop a team of associates; support talent development.
• Maintain excellent client relationships and contribute to profitability and financial goals.
• Collaborate with the Chef and management team to create nutritious, high-quality food and implement culinary programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
