Job summary

Chartwells K-12, part of Compass Group USA, seeks a Director of Dining Services to lead nutrition programs for Daleville & Cowan Community Schools in Indiana. The role oversees ~20 staff, manages daily operations, budgets, and partnerships with district leadership to deliver an outstanding student dining experience.

The ideal candidate has K-12 dining experience, strong leadership, and the ability to manage multiple locations with a Monday–Friday schedule and favorable work–life balance.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Management, Hospitality, Culinary, or Nutrition preferred; additional food service management experience.
• Three or more years of food service management experience.
• K-12 dining experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Financial acumen with strong business intuition.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all P&L and budgeting as it pertains to the account
• Maintains excellent relationships with the client
• Works with the team to create nutritious, high-quality food for students
• Implements new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary teams
• Acts as a liaison between Chartwells, the client, and the community
• Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient functioning of the dining services operation
