Job summary

Challenge Charter School seeks a Data, Information, and Assessment Systems Specialist to lead school-wide data analytics and information systems. You will manage the PowerSchool SIS, coordinate with our identity management partner, and support educators with data-driven decisions across platforms.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years of experience in core information systems, strong communication, and a collaborative, problem-solving mindset in a K-12 environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of K-12 school data systems and how data can drive outcomes.
• 4+ years designing, deploying, and managing core information systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology or related field or equivalent experience.
• Proficient data modeling concepts: conceptual, logical, and physical.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong listening and interpersonal abilities.
• Able to research systems issues and translate to users.
• Able to communicate technical ideas in user-friendly language.
• Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and analytical.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a member of the school’s leadership team and data steward.
• Manage PowerSchool SIS and expand district-wide usage of tools.
• Act as liaison with identity management and education platforms.
• Support school teams with implementing SIS, LMS, and reporting.
• Design, create, and implement internally-developed assessments.
• Analyze and present scholar data for action planning and board reports.
• Coordinate data days and professional learning for staff.
• Develop and maintain user roles and permissions in edtech platforms.
• Assist with schedules, reports, and ongoing data collection.
