Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Specialist, Content Developer (Mathematics) to create and review content for large‑scale K‑12 assessments. You will leverage AI tools, coordinate with educators and clients, and help craft item specifications and test blueprints.

Strong communication and a passion for innovative education are essential. You will work with cross‑functional teams to integrate AI assets, train writers, and ensure quality across grade levels, while staying current with new AI tech in assessment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent required.
• Five years’ elementary/secondary teaching experience preferred.
• Professional knowledge of content area and educational trends required.
• Experience with large-scale educational measurement preferred.
• Familiarity with AI‑generated content evaluation and prompting desired.
• Proficiency with basic software tools and adaptability to new programs.
• Interest in learning about evolving AI technologies.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to creatively address challenges for diverse audiences.
• Strong planning, organizational and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review content‑specific test items across grade levels for large‑scale assessments.
• Help develop item specifications, test blueprints and ancillary documents.
• Leverage AI‑powered tools to support content development and ensure accessibility standards.
• Collaborate with team to integrate AI-generated assets in assessment workflows.
• Select, manage and train item/passage writers and educators.
• Support customer meetings with content assessment expertise.
• Assist in test construction and review of test forms.
• Consult with customers including planning and status reviews.
• Work with test development managers, content developers and psychometricians.
• Stay current with AI technologies in educational content creation.
