Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Specialist, Content Developer (English Language Arts) to help create and review K-12 assessment content for state and district clients. You will leverage AI tools to enhance items, align with standards, and collaborate with educators and psychometricians across Pearson groups.

The role supports an Asset Creation team on a 12-month limited-term basis, with responsibilities spanning item development, specifications, reviews, and customer engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent experience.
• Five years’ teaching experience in relevant content area preferred.
• Knowledge of large-scale educational measurement preferred.
• Experience or familiarity with prompting and evaluating AI-generated content.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt content for diverse audiences.
• Ability to work with AI tools in content development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review content-specific test items across grade levels.
• Develop item/passage and test specifications and blueprints.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to support assessment content development.
• Collaborate to integrate AI-generated assets in workflows.
• Select and train item writers and educators.
• Support customer meetings with content assessment expertise.
• Assist in test construction and review of test forms.
• Consult with customers in planning and status reviews.
• Work with Pearson teams including psychometricians.
• Stay current with emerging AI technologies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
