Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Specialist, Content Developer (English Language Arts) to join the Asset Creation team. You will be a content and assessment expert developing standards-based K-12 assessments for state and district clients across the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent experience required.
• Five years’ experience as an elementary or secondary teacher in the field of content-specific area preferred.
• Strong knowledge of content and educational trends; experience with AI-assisted content development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review content-specific test items across grade levels for large-scale assessments.
• Help develop item specifications, test blueprints, and related documents.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to support development and ensure accessibility standards.
• Collaborate to integrate AI-generated assets in assessment workflows.
• Select, assign, and train writers and educators for item development.
• Facilitate customer meetings and provide content assessment expertise.
• Support test construction and review of composed test forms.
• Consult with customers and participate in planning and status meetings.
• Work with test development managers, content developers, psychometricians, and Pearson groups.
• Stay current with emerging technologies including AI in content creation.
