Job summary

AHC Hospitality is seeking a full-time carpet cleaner to maintain carpet and upholstery across hotel areas, including guest rooms and corridors. You will move furniture, operate cleaning equipment, and ensure proper chemical use while supporting housekeeping operations.

This role requires weekend availability, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Benefits include medical, dental & vision, a 401K, paid vacation, and employee discounts.

Responsibilities

• Extract a minimum of 9 rooms per shift.
• Encapsulate a minimum of 18 rooms per shift.
• Move furniture to access carpet areas.
• Ensure carpet equipment is cleaned and maintained daily.
• Use proper chemicals to remove stains.
• Fill in as a houseman when needed.
• Stock floors with linen and amenities.
• Remove trash and recycling.
• Sweep, mop and organize service landings.
• Assist with linen inventory on a quarterly basis.
• Weekend work is required for this role.

This is a full-time position requiring weekend availability.

SUMMARY:

The carpet cleaner is a key individual in achieving and maintaining the quality of the carpet and other upholstery items throughout all areas of the hotel. Including guest rooms, service landings, pool and fitness center, stairwells, and corridors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Extract a minimum of 9 rooms per shift
• Encapsulate a minimum of 18 rooms per shift
• Move furniture to ensure all areas of the carpet are cleaned
• Ensure carpet equipment is cleaned and maintained daily
• Use proper chemicals to remove stains
• Fill in as a houseman when needed
• Stocking floors with linen and other amenities
• Removing trash and recycling
• Sweeping, mopping, and organizing service landings
• Assist with linen inventory on a quarterly basis
• Any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor
• This position requires weekend work, as it is essential to the role. If you are unable to work weekends (Saturday and Sundays) you would not be eligible for this position.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Must be reliable; willing to work weekends and holidays
• Ability to communicate in English both verbally and written (preferred)
• Able to use different types of chemicals safely and effectively
• Requires the ability to work independently and follow directions as assigned by supervisors

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Related experience is preferred.
