• Collaborate with varsity coaching staff on player development and roster needs.
• Coach and supervise all practices, games, and team activities.
• Set clear expectations for effort, accountability, sportsmanship, attendance and behavior.
• Provide constructive instruction and feedback to student-athletes.
• Supervise locker rooms and facilities as needed.
• Communicate professionally with students, families, coaches, and officials.
• Follow district, Athletic Department, Mid-Wach League, and MIAA policies.
• Assist with equipment, uniforms, field setup, inventory and other duties.
• Attend athletic department and baseball program meetings.
• Support the Head Varsity Coach in building a consistent North Middlesex Baseball Program.
• Perform other program-related duties as assigned.

Junior Varsity Baseball Coach

North Middlesex Regional High School

North Middlesex Regional High School is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic candidate for the position of Junior Varsity Baseball Coach.

The JV Baseball Coach will work collaboratively with the Head Varsity Baseball Coach and Athletic Department to provide a positive, competitive, and development-focused experience for student-athletes. The JV program is an important developmental component of the overall North Middlesex Baseball Program, with an emphasis on preparing student-athletes for future varsity competition.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct organized, purposeful practices focused on skill development, baseball fundamentals, teamwork, and game preparation.
• Develop student-athletes for future opportunities within the varsity program.
• Implement the philosophy, terminology, expectations, and systems established by the Head Varsity Coach.
• Work collaboratively with the varsity coaching staff regarding player development, roster movement, and overall program needs.
• Coach and supervise all assigned practices, games, and team activities.
• Establish and maintain clear expectations for effort, accountability, sportsmanship, attendance, and behavior.
• Provide student-athletes with constructive instruction and feedback.
• Maintain appropriate supervision of student-athletes, including locker room and facility supervision.
• Communicate professionally with student-athletes, families, coaches, administrators, officials, and opposing programs.
• Follow all North Middlesex Regional School District, Athletic Department, Mid-Wach League, and MIAA policies and procedures.
• Assist with equipment, uniforms, field setup, inventory, and other program responsibilities.
• Attend required Athletic Department and baseball program meetings.
• Support the Head Varsity Coach in building a consistent and vertically aligned North Middlesex Baseball Program.
• Perform additional program-related duties as assigned by the Head Varsity Coach or Director of Athletics.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

• Previous baseball coaching and/or playing experience.
• Knowledge of baseball fundamentals, rules, strategies, and player development.
• Ability to effectively teach and develop high school student-athletes.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a coaching staff.
• Commitment to student-athlete development, sportsmanship, academic achievement, and positive team culture.
• Willingness to support a program-first philosophy and the overall goals of North Middlesex Baseball.
• Completion of all required district and MIAA coaching certifications prior to participation.

The successful candidate will understand that the JV level is an important developmental step within the overall program and will prioritize individual growth, team development, preparation for varsity competition, accountability, and a positive student-athlete experience.
