American Water is seeking an Associate, Project Delivery Engineer to support water and wastewater projects from planning through execution. This entry-level role focuses on design, project delivery, and cross-functional coordination with engineering teams and field personnel.

You will assist with project plans, analyses, and regulatory considerations, ensuring timely, within-budget outcomes. Primary work is office-based with field opportunities at facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field of Engineering.
• 0 - 2 years’ experience in Engineering design, planning, construction, project delivery and/or project management.
• Water system and wastewater hydraulic modeling experience is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Assist in water and wastewater projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Develop detailed project plans, designs, and specifications for water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including pipelines, treatment plants, and pumping stations.
• Conduct system capacity evaluations, analysis of water source, treatment, pumping and collection/distribution, storage, or other system deficiencies as assigned to support ongoing operations, service extension requests or regional growth opportunities.
• Assist with multiple small to medium size projects and perform varied engineering assignments associated with planning, design or construction.
• Develop technical information and concepts into feasible and effective engineering approaches.
• Any other special projects and tasks assigned by their team leads or managers
