Job summary

American Water is seeking an Associate, Engineering Project Manager to support the Engineering function with design, project delivery, and operational support for reliable service.

Responsibilities include assisting in planning, developing plans and specifications for water infrastructure, and evaluating system capacity to support growth and operations, with occasional field involvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in engineering design, planning, construction or project delivery.
• Knowledge of water/wastewater facilities and utility operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in water and wastewater projects from inception to completion, on time and within budget.
• Develop detailed project plans, designs, and specifications for water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Conduct system capacity evaluations and support regional growth opportunities.
• Assist with multiple small to medium projects and various planning, design, or construction tasks.
• Translate technical information into feasible engineering approaches.
• Support special projects and tasks as assigned by team leads or managers.
