Job summary

Cornelis Networks is seeking an Entry-Level Thermal Engineer to support design, simulation and testing of thermal management for next-gen Fabric platforms. Collaborate with senior engineers to evaluate electronics cooling from component to system level.

Hybrid role based at the Chesterbrook Corporate Center in Wayne, PA with some remote work possible. Requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering and up to 3 years in thermal engineering; CAD and CFD experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering with focus on thermodynamics, heat transfer or fluid dynamics
• 0–3 years in thermal engineering (internship, co-op or academic lab qualifies)
• Hands-on lab experience with thermal sensors, data acquisition and testing
• Familiarity with 3D MCAD tools (CREO preferred, SolidWorks acceptable)
• Exposure to CFD tools (Cadence Celsius EC, Siemens Flotherm, Ansys Icepak)
• Understanding of conduction, convection, heat sinks, and TIMs
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities

• Lab testing and validation of thermal designs
• Assist CFD/thermal simulations including modeling and analysis
• Support PCB, heat sink and TIM design evaluations
• Analyze thermal test data and contribute to reports/guidelines
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical and manufacturing teams
