Job summary

Capital Refractories is seeking a Junior Technical Sales Engineer to join our team serving the Aluminium Industry in South India. You will blend technical knowledge with business development, promoting refractory and insulation solutions to aluminium producers, and supporting project-based sales and turnkey opportunities.

Based in Chennai with frequent travel across South India, you will collaborate with customers, install teams, and internal engineering groups to tailor lining solutions,

Qualifications

1-3 years of experience in the refractory, insulation, or aluminium industry.
Understanding of refractory applications within the aluminium sector (furnace linings, launders, pouring cups, melting and holding furnaces, tower melting furnaces).
Experience supervising or supporting refractory installation projects.
Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Promote and sell refractory products and insulation to aluminium customers.
Provide technical support, product selection guidance, and installation supervision.
Develop sales opportunities and growth plans across South India.
Prepare quotations, reports and technical proposals.
Conduct regular customer visits and travel across South India.
