Qualifikationen

• 1-3 years of experience in the refractory, insulation, or aluminium industry.
• Understanding of refractory applications within the aluminium sector (furnace linings, launders, pouring cups, melting and holding furnaces, tower melting furnaces).
• Experience supervising or supporting refractory installation projects.
• Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and technically minded Junior Technical Sales Engineer to join our growing team serving the Aluminium Industry. This role combines technical expertise with business development and customer support responsibilities, offering an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in technical sales within the refractory and high-temperature insulation sector.

The successful candidate will work closely with aluminium producers, providing technical solutions, supporting refractory installations, and driving sales growth across Southern India.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and sell refractory products, ceramic fibre solutions, and associated insulation materials to aluminium industry customers.
• Drive both project-based sales (turnkey solutions) and retail supply opportunities.
• Provide technical support to customers, including:
• Product selection guidance
• Repair and maintenance recommendations
• Supervision of refractory installation activities carried out by contractors
• Build, develop, and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Identify new business opportunities and prepare sales growth plans.
• Act as a technical solutions partner for customers by:
• Recommending improvements to lining profiles and furnace designs
• Proposing value-added products and services
• Supporting operational performance improvements
• Coordinate with warehouse, manufacturing, outsourcing partners, and technical teams to deliver customer requirements.
• Support preparation of quotations, reports, presentations, and technical proposals.
• Conduct regular customer visits and business travel throughout South India.

Candidate Profile

Essential Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in the refractory, insulation, or aluminium industry.
• Understanding of refractory applications within the aluminium sector, including:
• Furnace lining systems
• Launders
• Pouring cups
• Melting and holding furnaces
• Tower melting furnaces
• Knowledge of refractory selection principles and lining patterns.
• Experience supervising or supporting refractory installation projects.
• Strong interest in technical sales and business development.
• Ability to understand and investigate basic refractory performance issues and support initial failure analysis.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites.
