Textron Systems in Hunt Valley, MD seeks an entry-level Systems Engineer I to support development of robotics and unmanned systems across the full product life cycle, working with senior engineers to learn requirements analysis and hardware/software integration.

You will gain hands-on experience in MBSE, system modeling, and test procedures while collaborating with cross-functional teams and contributing to the design of new capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in systems engineering preferred.
• 0–2 years of related engineering experience (internships or co-ops welcome).
• Exposure to DoD environments beneficial but not required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 10–15%.

Responsibilities

• Assist in systems engineering tasks across the product lifecycle under mentorship from senior engineers.
• Support requirements analysis and maintain requirement documentation.
• Develop conceptual designs with cross-functional teams.
• Learn MBSE methodologies and maintain system models in SysML-based tools.
• Support integration testing for UGVs and UAVs and collect test data.
