Job summary

Textron Systems in Hunt Valley, MD is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer II/III to support development of military complex systems. You will perform system modeling, requirements decomposition and architecture generation to satisfy customer, safety and reliability goals.

Qualifying candidates hold a bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering with 2 years of related experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering with 2 years of related experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Customer interfacing and ability to build relationships.
• Use of Model Based Systems Engineering principles to develop SysML Models and DOORS requirement management tool preferred.
• Ability to work in teams and independently with minimal direction.
• Existing U.S. Security Clearance is preferred. The ability to obtain one is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct system modeling, operations analysis, and requirements decomposition in support of system design. Perform system level trade analysis of different design options including estimated development and operational costs.
• Develop system requirement specification for the overall system including verification plans
• Generate overall system architecture to satisfy customer, functional, reliability, and safety requirements.
• Address Engineering Lifecycle from development to manufacturing to fielding and support
• Ensure requirements traceability, interface management, and risk analysis for the system. Coordinate and execute milestone project reviews, technical reviews, and decision tradeoff analysis.
