Captivation Software has an immediate need for a Junior Systems Engineer to support the project and assist with overseeing the planning, design, and implementation of a mission-critical system. You will work with customers, systems engineers, developers, and the UX team to ensure capabilities are accurately defined, built, tested, and delivered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; Master’s degree can substitute for two years of experience.
• Experience documenting functional requirements from government customers and stakeholders; ability to translate into Jira stories and epics.
• Experience conducting functional/manual testing of application features; familiarity with Agile development processes.

Responsibilities

• Elicit and document functional requirements from government customers and stakeholders.
• Translate requirements into well-defined Jira user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Curate and groom the sprint backlog to ensure well-scoped work for developers.
• Serve as a point of contact for developers, addressing questions and removing blockers.
• Perform initial functional testing to validate features against requirements.
