Job summary

Shield Consulting Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Junior Systems Engineer to support TO-005, with responsibilities spanning requirements elicitation, user story creation in Jira, and agile delivery across development lifecycle.

You will work directly with government customers, engineers, and the UX team to ensure mission‑driven software features are defined, built, tested, and delivered. You will participate in sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives, helping remove blockers and ensure smooth

Qualifications

• Experience eliciting and documenting functional requirements from customers and stakeholders.
• Ability to translate requirements into Jira user stories and epics.
• Experience performing functional/manual testing of features.
• Familiarity with Agile software development and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Gather and decompose requirements from government customers and stakeholders.
• Develop user stories and acceptance criteria for the dev team.
• Curate sprint backlog and ensure appropriately sized stories.
• Support developers and remove blockers during sprints.
• Conduct initial testing to validate features against requirements.
• Present new developments to government customers and gather feedback.
• Collaborate with UX on design requirements and usability.
