Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Junior Systems Engineer to help advance mission-critical systems. You’ll collaborate with government customers, developers, and UX teams to define, build, test, and deliver software capabilities in an Agile environment, with some telework options.

The role requires a BA/BS, 2+ years of experience, and U.S. citizenship with TOP SECRET//SCI w/ Poly clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts or Science required.
• 2+ years of related experience.
• U.S. citizenship required; TOP SECRET//SCI w/ Poly clearance.
• Ability to work directly with government customers and stakeholders.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Requirements elicitation from government customers and stakeholders.
• Translate requirements into Jira user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Curate and groom the sprint backlog for well-scoped work.
• Serve as a point of contact for developers and remove blockers.
• Conduct initial functional testing to validate features.
• Present developments to government customers and gather feedback.
• Collaborate with the UX team on design usability considerations.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and support the lifecycle.
